Foreclosures Continue to Rise Across the United States

“Have you gotten the letter yet?” The letter that’s being asked about is the letter from the bank or mortgage company saying that their house is going to be foreclosed in less than a month.
This week foreclosure tracking service RealtyTrac Thursday reported that lenders repossessed 25 percent more homes in August 2010 than in August of 2009. Just less than 100,000 homes were taken away from their owners in August.
Despite what is widely reported, i.e. the economy is getting better, it’s obvious from everyone I speak with that things aren’t getting better.
- Savings gone;
- Retirement funds gone;
- Family help gone;
Now’s the time to consider taking control of your financial future.
If you are behind on your mortgage more than two payments it’s unlikely you’ll be able to make up those back payments without filing a Chapter 13 Bankruptcy.
In a Chapter 13 Bankruptcy, which we would file in Knoxville, you can:
- Make up back payments on your house or car
- Make the creditors quit calling
- Stop horrendous penalties and outrageous interest on your credit cards
- Come out of bankruptcy owing nothing but your house payment
Simply put, if you get “the letter” a Chapter 13 will put the power back in your hands.
I offer a free consultation so you can fully understand how we can help. Don’t wait until you are so far behind that you can’t make the payments up in 3 years. You may even need to cure the payments over 5 years.
